MOSES

Anne Mary Moses, age 93, of Willow, passed away late Thursday evening, February 12, 2009, at Mangum City Hospital.

Mrs. Moses was born on March 11, 1915, in Brinkman, Oklahoma to Lebanese immigrants, Alexander and Fadha (Forducey) Swyden. She attended East View School and married Mike Charles Moses, in Mangum, on March 1, 1934, in a ceremony preformed by Victor Wickersham. She spent the next fifty-eight wonderful years with the love of her life, until his death on August 21, 1992. Anne was a devoted mother to her children and was a farm wife who helped her husband with crops and cattle. She gardened, milked cows, tended chickens, baked bread, churned butter, made cheese and soap, and sold milk, eggs and garden vegetables to individuals and area grocers. She was well known for her expertise in cooking and family and friends came from long distances to enjoy her Lebanese meals.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Fred, Phillip and John Swyden and one sister, Lorene Riggs, she is survived by two daughters, Frances Brooks and husband Ben of Bedford, Texas and Bonnie O"Rourke and husband Raymond of Bedford, Texas; one son, Max Moses and wife Karen of Hobart; one sister, Janell Lupi of Lawton; five grandchildren, Diane Smith and husband Mike of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ted Michael Brooks of Mansfield, Texas, Betty Ann Odeneal and husband Logan of Bedford, Texas, Frank Michael O"Rourke and wife Jacqui of Tulsa and Mike Moses and wife Cheryl of Norman; ten great grandchildren, Ryan Michael Panno and wife Christi, Brooke Marie Panno, Chad Michael Brooks and wife Sarah, Charlie Vincin Brooks, Chandler Brooks, Lauren Ann Odeneal, William Ray Oeneal, Victor Michael O"Rourke, Nancy Ann Moses and Katherine Isabelle Moses; one great-great granddaughter Breece Ann Brooks, a very special friend and caregiver, Blanche Flores along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Anne Mary Moses will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jude Shayo AJ officiating. Interment will follow at the Brinkman Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.

The family will greet friends from 3 until 5 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Greer Funeral Home.
