Obituary for Anna Geraldine (Bourland) Garlow
Anna Geraldine (Bourland) Garlow , age 77, passed away Thursday, August 22nd, 2002 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Gerri was born January 27, 1925, on the family farm south of Altus. She attended Porter High School and graduated in 1943. She worked for the First National Bank and the Altus Wholesale Company, both of Altus.
On April 29, 1955, she and Lt Maurice "Whitey" Garlow were united in marriage at the Altus Air Force Base Chapel. Mrs. Garlow was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Garlow was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra C. and Alice Bourland; one brother, Dwight Bourland and brother-in-law Cleason "Winkie" Barker, all of Altus.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice of the home; one son, , Lt Col Mark Garlow and his wife Jo Lynn of Centreville, Virginia; a granddaughter, Holly, who is attending James Madison University; a grandson, Ryan, who is going through pilot training at Columbus AFB in Mississippi after graduating from the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2001. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Genevieve Barker of Midwest City, but formerly of Altus; two nieces, Donna Ashley and her husband Mike and their two daughters Lindsay and Alysa of Midwest City and Marsha Bright and her husband Ken and their two daughters, Kristen and Jeri of Coppell, Texas; and one nephew, Roger Bourland.
