Obituary for Amy Smith Davis
Amy Smith-Davis, 40, resident of Lawton, Oklahoma and former resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away November 4, 2020 at her home in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Amy was born on November 8, 1979 in Lawton, Oklahoma to her parents, Claude and Sandra (Kohl) Smith. She was raised in the Indiahoma, Blair, and Martha Oklahoma area. She attended school in Martha until she had to transfer due to the closure of Martha Public Schools. She played High School Basketball for Blair High School and graduated from there as well. Following graduation she obtained her Certified Nurses Assistance License. Caring for others defined Amy’s life, she loved caring for her residents and it was always her highest priority to make sure her residents were taken care of. She worked at the English Village Manor in Altus, Oklahoma, the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, and was employed at Brentwood Nursing Home in Lawton, Oklahoma. On October 30, 2015 Amy married the love of her life Rob Davis in Altus, Oklahoma. To say Amy enjoyed fishing would be a huge understatement, even while forty weeks pregnant she was fishing. She also enjoyed painting, , gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her children.
She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Smith, and mother, Sandra (Kohl) Smith.
Left to honor Amy’s memory is her husband Rob Davis; sons, Christopher Varnell, Austin Jones; daughters, Patience Ann-Marie Smith (she is expecting Amy’s first grandchild), Lillian Kate Divine Smith; brothers Butch Smith and wife Lonnie, Wesley Smith and wife Mary; sisters, Jennifer Birmingham and husband Herbie, Lisa Brown and husband Kevin; nieces, Jessica Huggins, Destiny Ensign, Harmony Birmingham, Shelby Turner, Jamie Wyatt, Carly Dowling, Taylor Smith, Caitlin Smith, Cheyanne Medrano; nephews, Hunter Birmingham, Johnathan Medrano, David Medrano, Alaric Caudill.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday evening, November 13, 2020 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
