Amy (Linderman) Dodson, age 44, of Altus, formerly of Dallas, Texas has joined her Lord in Heaven following a lengthy illness.
She is a beloved wife to Scott and adoring mother to Cooper and Kendall, and had been very active in Altus since her move here in 2004. Her passion and primary volunteer work was at Altus Christian Academy where, as a parent, she helped the school transition from a small building to a new and much larger campus. Amy also served on ACA"s Board as president and participated in every aspect of the life of the school; and she also was involved with Golden Retriever Rescue and was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Altus.
Amy is survived by her husband Scott; children, Cooper and Kendall; parents, Linda Linderman and Dean Linderman, cherished sister, Tricia Linderman; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy and Keith Dodson and a large extended family.
At Amy"s specific request, donations to Altus Christian Academy are suggested in lieu of flowers to Altus Christian Academy, The Amy Dodson Memorial Fund, 1220 North Grady, Altus, OK 73521. Attn: Dana Darby
Funeral services for Amy Dodson will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Player officiating.
The family will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Friday afternoon, October 13, 2017, from 4 until 6 p.m.
