Alpha Coda Barnett died March 10, 1966 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Altus, Oklahoma. She was born December 19th, 1900 to Luke and Sam Ella (Martina) Burns in Van Buren County, Arkansas. She Married D. D. Barnett June 5, 1928. He preceded her in death December 30, 1963.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by four sons, Gerald and Travis of Altus, Oklahoma, Billy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth of Verden, Oklahoma, eight Grandchildren. Also three brothers and 2 sisters, Jim, Burns, Mangum, Luke Burns, Marshal, Texas, Burley Burns, Van Couver, Washington, Mrs John Crumley of Hermleigh, Texas and Mrs John Dressler of Amarillo, Texas.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 12th, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Altus, Oklahoma. The Rev. Carl McCoy will officiate. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery with Tims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
