Obituary for Allen Willis Hubbard
Mr. Allen Willis Hubbard, age 68, of 200 Cardinal Circle North, died Wednesday at his home of a cardiac arrest.

Funeral services have been set for Saturday, 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend Bill Moss and assisted by the Reverend C. C. Gober. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born July 28th, 1911 at Hinton, OK, he was married at Maysville, OK, May 30, 1937 to the former Juanita McConnell who survives of the home. A well-known and prominent businessman of this area, he came to Altus in 1945 and established Hubbard Music Co., which he sold in 1958 and established Hubbard Music Center which still exists. In 1960 he established Rent City Construction Co., a firm in which he was still active. He was a past president of the Altus Lions Club, past president of Altus Community Concert, served as the first President, for eight years, with the Oklahoma Music Merchants Assn., was on the official board of the First United Methodist Church, a choir member, a long time member of that church and a 32nd degree Mason. He was graduated from Central State University in 1939 with a Master's Degree in music.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Juanita include: her father, Mr. C.B. McConnell who resided with them at their home; two sons, Don Hubbard of Houston, TX and Tom Hubbard of Bartlesville; three grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Hubbard of Binger; three sistrers, Miss Marie Hubbard of Phoenix, AZ, Maxine Ritchey of Denver, CO and Doris Shaw of Pittsburg, PA.

A son, John Hubbard died in 1970.
