Alicia (Reyes) Fixico "Lecha", age 59, longtime Altus, Oklahoma resident, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home in Altus.
Alicia "Lecha" was born on July 22, 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma to her parents Thomas Reyes, Sr. and Tomasa (Palacios) Reyes. Lecha grew up in Olustee, Oklahoma and was a proud graduate from Olustee High School Senior Class of 1980. On April 22, 1987 Lecha married the love of her life Stacy Fixico in Vernon, Texas and they have enjoyed over 33 years of marriage together. Alicia worked as head cook for the Senior Nutrition Program at the Southwest Community Action for twenty years and maintained her work as head cook until her illness. Alicia was of Catholic faith and was a longtime member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Lecha was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan as well as an OU fan, but her greatest enjoyment of all was spending time with her family. Most importantly, her grandkids, whom she loved so much and Lecha would be at every ballgame cheering them on.
Lecha is survived by her husband Stacy Fixico of their home; three sons, David Fixico and wife LaKrista of Altus; Eric Lopez and Alyssa Gonzalez of Lawton; and Gilbert "Bobo" Lara and wife Joanna of Dallas; two daughters, Miranda Lara of Altus; and Amanda Lara of Dallas; four brothers, Martin Reyes of Dallas; Elisandro Reyes Torres and wife Francis of Runge, Texas; Raul Reyes and wife Antonia of Olustee; and Thomas P. Reyes and wife Maryann of Altus; five sisters, Rebecca Lopez and husband Chuy of Altus; Rose Hernandez and husband Adam of Altus; Rachel Reyes of Altus; Alberta Aleman and husband Jose of San Antonio; and Elva Robinson and husband Colby of Oklahoma City; twelve grandchildren, Kylie Fixico, Konnor Fixico, Kenlie Fixico, Isaac Lara, Alexia Garcia, Elijah Lara, Adalyn Lara, Josiah Lara, Isaiah Alvarado, Trinity Lopez, Trent Lopez, and Paislee Lopez; sister-in-law, Margaret Reyes of Cache; brother-in-law, Robert Garcia of Puerto Rico; Brother-in-law, Gilbert Lara of Dallas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, numerous other family members, and many friends.
Lecha is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas, Sr. and Tomasa Reyes; two brothers, Reynaldo "Ray" Reyes in 1973; and Ramiro Reyes in 2008; three sisters, Billie Garcia in 2011; Sendy Lara in 1992; and Pauline Reyes in 1966.
"I want to say to all my nieces and nephews - I love you all like my own and a special thanks to JoAnn for helping me", Lecha.
Viewing hours will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 2:00 until 9:00 on Saturday, August 8, 2020, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Rosary services will be at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 9:00 am on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel with interment following at Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
