Obituary for Alice Larine Hopp
Alice Larine Hopp, 69, longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away August 11, 2020.
Alice was born in Blair, Oklahoma to Jesse and Rosie Lee (Tinney) Duke. While growing up she moved to El Monte, California with her family before moving back to the Altus area. When she came back, she worked at the English Village and Grace Living Center for many years caring for others. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. She loved to decorate for holidays and enjoyed doing arts and crafts, her favorite time of the year was the summer because she would get to spend time with her boys. She had a great green thumb and could grow everything. Her favorite thing she loved to do was brag about the accomplishments of her grandchildren.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Marcus Hopp of 12 years and her parents Jesse and Rosie Lee Duke; three brothers: Delbert Duke; Benny Duke; and Donald Duke; one sister: Virginia Duke.
Alice is survived by three daughter: Ann Choate of Altus, Oklahoma; Teresa Hopp of Ada, Oklahoma; and Jessica Hopp of Vanalsyne, Texas; five sisters: Shirley Welch of Altus, Oklahoma; Paulette Richart of Altus, Oklahoma; Darlene Pettyjohn of Altus, Oklahoma; Ruthie Caswell of Louisiana; and Betty Wilson of Altus, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren: Erin Phillips of Oklahoma; Kelsey Brown of Oklahoma; Jordan Bellomy of Oklahoma; Jasmine Brown of Oklahoma; Marcus Choate of Oklahoma; Isaiah Nichols of Texas; Kylor Nichols of Texas; Kamyron Bird of Texas; Alize Bird of Texas; three greatgrandchildren: Grayson Philips; Riley Puckett; and Blake Bellomy of Allof, Oklahoma.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
