Obituary for Alfonso B. Martinez
Alfonso B. Martinez, age 79, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away October 5, 2002. Graveside services, under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home of Altus, are set for 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2002 at Altus City Cemetery.
Alfonso was born in Mexico City, Mexico, in 1923. He was a resident of Lubbock, Texas before moving to the Altus area. Alfonso was a longtime custodian at the Southwest Community Action Center of Altus, just recently entering retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarita and his parents.
Alfonso is survived by children, Juanita Martinez of Norman, Oklahoma, Margarita Martinez of Carrolton, TX, Francisca Martinez of Norman, OK, Alfonso Martinez of Flint, MI, Josefina Martinez of Norman, OK, Mercedes Martinez of Memphis, TN, Manual Martinez of Altus, Oklahoma, Alfonso Martinez of North Island, SD, Johnny Martinez of Tulsa, OK, Gloria Guerrero of Altus, OK, Trina Trejo of Altus, OK, Tommy Guerrero of Altus, OK, Reina Gonzales of Greeley, CO; brother, Manual Martinez; sister, Mercedes Martinez of Mexico City, Mexico; twenty-three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
