Sandy Napoleon-Cote, age 61, a longtime resident of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at her residence in Mangum.
Sandy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 18, 1953 to Edward and Margaret (Schutte) Keohohou. Being the daughter of an Army family, Sandy was born and raised mostly in Hawaii and then the family moved to Monterey, California for re-assignment. Later in mid-1970"s the family moved to Oklahoma and then Sandy moved to Mangum where she resided for the rest of her life. Sandy worked as a Licensed Practicing Nurse for many years at Grace Living Center in Mangum. She was very devote in her spirituality and she loved reading, computer games, and was probably best known for her cooking and taking care of her family, her wonderful heart and caring nature. Sandy found her most joyful moment came helping others.
Preceded in death by her father; one son, Ian-Jay Napoleon; her nephew, Franky Costa; Sandy is survived by her mother, Margaret Kelly of Lawton; two sons, Chance Napoleon and his wife Erin of Lawton; Asian Napoleon of Alaska; her sisters, Holly Kelly of Oklahoma City; Margaret Mays and her husband Ken of Elgin, Oklahoma; Irene Kelly of Lawton; Anette Kelly-Mossa of Virginia; Arden Victor of Hawaii, Wanda Costa and her husband Frank of Virgina, four grandchildren, Sarah, Gabriel, Aiyna, and Tatum; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Private Celebration of Life services will be held. Arrangements are with Greer Funeral Home, Mangum.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donations may be made to the Tipton Children"s Home (1000 N. Broadway Ave, Tipton, OK 73570 or (580) 667-5221) in honor of Sandy Cote.
