Obituary for Albert Rose Hayes
Albert Rose Hayes, age 79, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 13th, 1998. He was born October 12, 1918 in Fayette, Alabama to the late James and Mannie L. (Dottson) Hayes. On March 17, 1966, in Carriere, Mississippi, Albert and Gladys Louise (Andrews) were united in marriage. She preceded him in death April 29, 1995. Albert had lived in Altus since 1993 before moving from Carriere, MS. He was a retired engineer. Albert was a member of several organizations; the VFW, Eastern Star, Shriner's, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Columbus, MS.
Survivors include: eight children, Thomas Hayes and wife Toni of Altus, Oklahoma, Linda Stone and husband Gene of Altus, Oklahoma; David Luna and wife Deborah of Blair, OK, Carol Whyghandt and husband Rick of Castleberry, FL, Perry Luna and his wife Beth of Carthridge, Missouri, Debra Beckham of Altus, Oklahoma, Vivian Marie Luna of Wisconsin and Jerry Wayne Luna of Michigan; three brothers, Oliver Hayes of Thomas, MS, James L. Hayes of Chickasha, Alabama and Robert Hayes of Picayune, MS; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; five brothers; one sister and one great-grandson.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Carl McCoy and Bro. Herbert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow with Masonic Rites at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home Visitation will be Wednesday April 15, 1998 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
