Albert Joseph Stepanovich, Jr., age 57, of Altus, passed away late Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton.
Albert was born in Tokyo Japan on July 7, 1957, to Albert Joseph, Sr. and Sumiko (Umeda) Stepanovich. Moving to Biloxi, Mississippi in 1958, Albert lived in many different locations while his father served in the United States Air Force. In 1969, the family moved to Altus and Albert graduated from Altus High School in 1975. After graduation, Albert worked for many years at Earls Body Shop and Wilmes Chevrolet doing auto body work. For the last seventeen years Albert has been employed at B & M Collision Repair, in Lawton. From a very young age, Albert loved cars and was known as one of the best auto body repairmen that you could find. He dearly loved his family and had a special love for his Jack Russell Terrier, Patch.
Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his mother Sumiko Singletary and husband Jim of Altus; his daughter, Jessica Stepanovich of Palm Springs, California; one sister, Kathy Burnett of Lawton; one brother, Joe Stepanovich and wife Rhonda of Altus; two nieces, Dana Young of Lawton, Oklahoma and Amanda Thorley and husband Ryan of Ada, Oklahoma; one nephew, Blake Stepanovich and wife Morgan of Tulsa; a great nephew, Beckett Thorley; the mother of his daughter, Jackie Everett Stepanovich of Palm Springs, California along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Albert Stepanovich will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
The family will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral on Thursday evening from 6 until 7 p.m.
