Obituary for Albert Alexander Walker
Mr. Albert Alexander Walker, age 78, pioneer resident of Kiowa County, died Sunday at the Elkview Hospital in Hobart following a long illness.

Funeral services have been set for Tuesday at 2:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church in Roosevelt, officiated by the pastor, Reverend Bill Gentry and assisted by Reverend Carl Hurd. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born April 22nd, 1894 near Gotebo, he lived and farmed in the Roosevelt community. He was married to the former Edith Barnes Stroud, August 11, 1947 in Vernon, Texas. He was a Veteran of World War I and a member of the Roosevelt First Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to the wife of the home in Roosevelt include: five sons, Leland, Wayne and Sherman Walker of Hobart, Gale and Dale Walker of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Martin of Hobart, Mrs. James Clark of Borger, TX, Mrs. Lillie Jenkins of Dill City and Mrs. David Tolivar of Weatherford; four step-children, Thurman Stroud of Roosevelt, Jessie Stroud of Snyder, Mrs. Leroy Chambers of Amarillo, TX and Mrs. Jack Sursa of Roosevelt, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Drake of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Paul Pope of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Ollie Walker of Cheyenne, OK, Amos, Herman and Lester Walker of Oklahoma City; 28 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
