Adaline Mae Ford, age 81 of Altus, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Ford was born on February 2, 1925 in Frederick, Oklahoma to William Raymond (Dutch) Cullen and Fanny (Davis). She moved to Altus at an early age and attended Altus Schools, graduating from Altus High School in 1943. A member of the First Christian Church, she was an avid Oklahoma University fan and participated in any activity involving OU. She attended UCLA and OU and married George Perley Ford in Altus in 1948. A longtime employee of Civil Service, Mrs. Ford spent over twenty-eight years working in the finance office at Altus Air
Force Base ad later worked at the Altus Air Force Base Hospital.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, Matthew Mercer and a brother Harry Ellis, she is survived by three children, George Ford and wife Connie of San Jose, California, Jim Ford and wife Kathy of Astori, Oregon and Jan Ford of Altus; eight grandchildren, Misty Graham of Seminole, Texas, Lindy

Altus, Jim Ford of Florida, Dina Augustine of Larned, Kansas, Derek Ford of San Jose, California, Meredith Mercer of Altus, William Ford of Altus and Audrey Ford of San Jose, California; seven great grandchildren, Dylan Cortez of Altus, Abigail Graham and Chandler Graham of Seminole, Teas, Rylee Cortez and Courtlynn Erb of Altus and Makenzy Augustine and Kaleb Augustine of Lenard, Kansas.
