STEWARD A. ZIEGENFUS, Jr.


Steward A. Ziegenfus, Jr. age 68 of Gould, Oklahoma and formerly of Lansford, Pennsylvania, passed away April 15, 2018 at his home in Gould.

Steward was born in Lehighton, Pennsylvania on October 12, 1949 to his parents Steward A. Ziegenfus, Sr. and Pauline A. (Muthard) Ziegenfus. He grew up in Lehighton, Pennsylvania and graduated from Lehighton High School. Steward married Gwendolyn J. Gibbon and they were married for over 40 years before her death on June 6, 2014. He worked for Paris Accessories INC for many years until he retired in 2010. Steward enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, being with family and friends, spending time with his fur babies, he loved to go to car shows to look at antiques cars, he loved to learn about the history of the wild west, and was a huge John Wayne fan.

Preceded in death by his parents, Steward Sr. and Pauline Ziegenfus; his wife Gwendolyn Ziegenfus; his daughter, Kimberly (Leslie) Loch; four brothers, Albert Ziegenfus; and Delbert Ziegenfus; and two infant brothers; his fur babies, Princess, Baby Girl, Buddy, Frank, Cookie; Steward is survived by two sons, Michael Leslie and his wife Cindy of Coaldale, Pennsylvania; and William T. Leslie and his wife Sandra also of Coaldale, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Deirdre Ledo of Lansford, Pennsylvania; and Lisa Highland and her husband Raymond of Gould, Oklahoma; one brother, Delroy Ziegenfus and his wife Nora of Palmerton, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Eleanor Ahner of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; Mary Lauer of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; Betty Dunbar of Danielsville, Pennsylvania; and Marie Genie of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, Sonya, Tonya, Joshua, Brandon, Justin, Zachary, Alexis, Tony, Joey, and Jazmin all of Pennsylvania; thirteen great grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Bradley, Isabella, Keira, Emma, Gage, Zoey, Ariana, Caelyn, Janyssa, Elaine, and Jasper; his three pets, Precious, Butch, and Cat Tiger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Private family services will be held with cremation arrangements under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
