Obituary for Starla Gay Fogle
Starla Gay Fogle, 51, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away July 1, 2018 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. Starla was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 21st, 1967. She moved to the Reed area in 1969.
Starla was raised and educated in Mangum and graduated from Mangum High School She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Starla married James Fogle August 27, 1994 in Pampa, Texas. She started her teaching career in Pampa, Texas at Lamar Elementary. In 2005 she and James relocated to Mangum to help take care of her father. She started teaching middle school in Mangum in 2006 and was working until her passing.
She loved to cook, spending time with her children and husband. Starla was a kind, caring person who always wanted to help people.
She is survived by her husband James Fogle of the home, her daughter Emily Fogle, her son Jonathan Fogle, her mother Juanita Mitchell, and brother David Mitchell and spouse Benita,
She is preceded in death her father Ralph Dean Mitchell and sister Gayla Ann Mitchell.
Services are 10:00 am Friday, July 6, 2018 at Living Waters United Pentecostal Church in Mangum, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at Greer Funeral Home.
